Jacquelyn Wilson has been practicing law since 1983 in the Bay Area. She has practiced not only in the Superior Courts of California, but also in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California, along with the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  Her practice primarily involves insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, public entity law, environmental claims, professional negligence (legal) and harassment/discrimination litigation.  She has served as a private mediator as well as a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court.  She holds the top AV rating provided by Martindale-Hubbell.

Honors, Associations and Memberships

Ms. Wilson was invited to be a fellow in Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society, with membership of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.  She was selected for the inaugural issue of Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers in 2011.  Ms. Wilson's peers also selected her as a Super Lawyer (one of the top 50 Females in all practice areas in 2004) in Northern California Super Lawyers, published in conjunction with Law and Politics and the San Francisco Magazine.  In 2003, the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel awarded her the annual President's Award for her "exemplary service to the association, the profession and the civil justice system."  She has been given a rating of 10 out of 10 "Superb" by Avvo.com.  She sercved on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel, from 1993 to 1996 and 1999 to 2002, serving as the Chair of its Amicus Curiae Committee in 1996.  She also served on its legislative arm, California Defense Counsel, from 1997 to 2001.


Ms. Wilson obtained her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, in 1983. She obtained her undergraduate degree, Summa Cum Laude, from San Jose State University in 1979. She also studied legal history at London School of Economics.
